The Last Christmas for Marshall Fields in Chicago

December 27, 2005 - Chicago, IL / Chicago / Family / Photos

My family and I took a trip to Marshall Fields in Chicago over Christmas. It opened in 1852 and is one of the largest department stores in the world. It was recently sold to Macy's, so you could say this was its last Christmas.

They had a light show in the atrium every hour. It was festive, but if you were expecting something on par with a Pink Floyd laser light show, you'd be disappointed.

Here is Dad enjoying the light show. OK, maybe "enjoying" isn't the right word.
